According to the research firm Greenfield Online and Datamonitor/Ovum in a recent study, “The Cost of Poor Customer Service,” the estimated amount of money lost by U.S. firms due to poor customer service is $83 billion per year.
In the same study, results revealed 71 percent of consumers interviewed had ended a business relationship due to poor customer service.
